Crowds at NSA Sheep 2010

NSA Sheep 2012 - not to be missed

NSA Sheep 2012 will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.

The show is the sector’s biennial premier business to business event and regularly attracts a huge turn-out of farmers, trade exhibitors and breed representatives.

More than 9,500 visitors attended the 2010 show, including 100 overseas visitors from over 10 different countries, featuring official inward missions from Brazil, France, Holland and Romania, and the upbeat crowd was keen to discuss business with over 250 trade stands, including 51 breed societies and associations.

The 2010 event, which was staged by the National Sheep Association and co-organiser, the Three Counties Agricultural Society and officially opened by Agriculture Minister Jim Paice MP, was deemed the most successful ever to be staged at Malvern, according to organiser Helen Davies.

“The event continued to build on previous successes and the buzz in the air firmly indicated the current renewed confidence within the sheep sector which has been building over the last two years,” she said.

“This was reflected by the amount of amount of business reported by exhibitors. In addition, the demonstrations proved to be popular and each of the seminars attracted a packed attendance. There is no doubt that sheep farmers have a thirst for knowledge and the event demonstrated their enthusiasm to learn more about a wide range of issues currently impacting on their business from EID to sheep health issues and marketing matters.”
